Founder & Advisor

Karla Mora is Founder and Managing Partner of Alante Capital, a VC fund investing in innovative technologies that address climate change and enable a resilient, sustainable future for apparel production and retail. Alante invests in innovative technology startups that improve production practices, support mindful consumption, and recover and recycle apparel waste.

Previously, Karla served as Investment Director at VilCap Investments and Associate Director at the Eleos Foundation, investing in early-stage social enterprises in emerging markets. She worked on supply chain reform with Building Markets in Afghanistan, and for the United Nations Sustainable Commodity Initiative for the coffee sector. Karla is on the Board of Mango Materials, and African Women Rising, and an Advisory Council member for the Eco-Entrepreneurship program at UC Santa Barbara.
